Florida red pomelo delicious and juicy

Has anyone successfully grown these Florida red pomelo grape fruits from seeds?

These are the juiciest and sweetest grape fruits I have ever tasted. I'm convinced florida grows a variety of best fruits out there such as Keitt mangoes, thai white guavas, and now this red pomelo grape fruit..

I'm going to try to grow them next year. Hope they'll grow like white guava seeds I got from florida last year.

Most fruit wont come back true from seeds as they are a hybrid, you could plant every one of those seeds and probably none of them would be like the parent. They could end up being better or worse you never know and it will probably take 7 or more years too find out

You do know they are not really a Grape fruit just a relative and they get 25 foot tall. plant them now and grow them on your window seal and plant them out in the spring in a moist sunny space.

Yup, what Gander said. If you want the real deal, you need a clipping of the parent plant, you will also get fruit way sooner this way also. Growing from seed is great, but it is a guessing game that takes a long time to figure out what it is going to be.

Been ponding for a while, with lots of successes, and lots of failures.

Can't reliably grow from seed. Graft or air layer will give you a tree that bears in 1-2 years.
Readily available in Los Angeles as "Valentine" pomelo. I also grow Chandler pomelo which has great flavor but not especially juicy (which I prefer).

No better time than right now to buy one of those neat grafting tools!

Got 1/3rd of the seeds planted in repurposed outback steakhouse to go containers. Taped up the air vents to keep moister and heat in.

Here are the guavas I have been growing from seeds..
The tallest one is 2 years old from my brother in law from california.

The 3 smaller ones and babies are from florida.. same variety..dont know what they really are but looks like thai variety.. extra extra large, white flesh, sweet, and few seeds.

The avacoda plant also from giant avocado variety 3 years old. So 5 more years until itll fruit???

My guess is this is some Pomelo/Grapefruit hybrid.

Same issues with avocados from seed. May or may not ever fruit. May bear similar to the original fruit, something different or inedible.
I have a 40 foot avocado tree that bears fruit with a large seed, 1/8" of flesh and is completely tasteless.

I'll wait and see and I can try grafting afterwards
