One thing I've read about is zinc toxicity from galvanized steel. I have a 3 FT x 2ft steel sheet covering the tank from algae. I directs some rain water into the tank. Is that enough to affect fish? Another thing I can think of is some slug poison that may have leeched into the tank ?
