      Help with Doitsu Sanke

Hello everyone, I have a Doitsu Sanke that has started acting abnormal. He'll swim into the walls and in circles, looks like he's hurt his spine. Water samples all came back with no issues ( 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 8.3 pH, 200 Kh) and I did a scrape and didn't see anything. Hes the only one acting like this. To be on the safe side, I'm on day 2 of a Microbe-Lift broad spectrum treatment. Ive attached a youtube clip that may help you more experienced koi keepers. Thanks for your help.

His eyes are bulged a little, he is also showing other signs of dropsy but with him being a doitsu I can't see raised scales, is there a sure way to know if it is dropsy?

I'm not a pro but it looks similar to when a koi gets electrocuted or the koi got a broken tail. I'm not sure if the tail is completely broken, but that definitely looks like the main cause of all the symptoms and problems.

I agree the fish is suffering from a broken back. Most frequent cause is electric shock. The electric shock can come from lightning strikes, line voltage leaks from broken heaters or faulty pumps, though it can be congenital also, but you would have noticed it long before now.

So I noticed the curvature a few months ago and it didn't seem to bother him much. now he's acting very erratic.Check out the video below, to me his breathing is very labored and his eyes are bulging when he is breathing. Any recommendations? Is this fish suffering?

I don't know if he is suffering or not. May live for a long life, provided it can get to food. It won't get any better. We had a member 10 plus years ago from NC that had a very high quality show koi and he would get in the pond every day and do physical therapy, and if I remember right even had back surgery done but ended up euthanizing the fish because he couldn't stand to watch it.
