Long shot on my Nexus 300

Hello all, new member here with 4500 gallon pond with 12 koi of various sizes.

I have a Pre 2006 Nexus 300 with Answer that works well, but Im looking for Eazy upgrade for 300 or 310 if anyone has an old setup thats looking to sell.

I know its a long shot, but I've been looking for while now and nothing shows up.

      Thanks, Eddie

Folks have also been successful in doing their own DIY retro-fit for the Nexus.

Been ponding for a while, with lots of successes, and lots of failures.

Do you know of any retro fits I could see or look at online?

By any chance, did you buy that Nexus from a guy in Oaklawn last year or the year before?

Also, you can try contacting Mike White from Whitewaterfilters.com. He is up in Batavia Il. I know he had done a conversion for someone else at some point.

I know him really well actually. I am the guy that sold it to you

The only issue I see with an easy conversion on your unit is the center pipe that comes up and connects to the answer is a lot taller than the newer model Nexus filters. Which means you will not be able to hold as much static k1 as a prefilter. It can still be done, but may require more frequent cleaning of the static k1 area.

The link above for a DIY conversion is a good starting point, but you may need to make some slight modifications to have it work effectively

Hello again, just like to say thanks again, the Nexus works really well.
And thanks for clarifying the issue with the newer Easy units onto the Nexus I have, I have no problem cutting down the inner pipe down to fit a newer unit, with some parts fabrication.
I have been looking into the home brew fabricators, they can make custom baskets to work similar to the nexus filter, maybe for the spring re opening.

I'm glad is working for you. Its a good filter. The answer was a great concept, but its an energy hog. I'm sure you can fabricate an easy for it
