Above ground pond over septic leach field

I've moved to new house and would like to build another pond. I am thinking approximate size of 12'x18'x3' and entirely above ground using blocks. Unfortunately, The site that i am looking to build is over the septic drain field. Since this will be above ground pond is there any concern regarding damaging the drain field due to the weight of pond over the top?

Well it might be a crap shoot on being successful. No pun intended.

Putting the pond over that field you will reduce needed evaporation. The weight of the pond may create some shifting, and if something fails with the leach field underneath the pond then you will have to move the pond to access any issues that come up. Crushed pipe, clogged pipe.

My vote would be to either make the raised pond much smaller, or a different location. Just my opinion

My county requires my drain field be inspected every year (at a cost of $200/yr) and the inspectors
would report it if I did that and I'd have to remove the pond. Just fwiw.

Thanks for the responses. I guess it's a bad idea. I suspected it was but was hoping not.
