To me that would depend on the price. Is this an in-between version of Matsukawabake and Kumonryu?

It can't be, it is either one or the other. If this is and example of Ishigaki Doitsu then it is a GR Kumonryu. If it is Wagoi then it is a GR Matsukawabake.

Ah okay, if it had regular scales then it would be a Matsukawabake. If anything else it would be a Kumonryu.

It would be a nice koi to grow out. Interested in how it would turn out. I need some more bling bling in my pond

Don't think its matsukawabake. An interesting fish though - which is what I like best (if the cost is reasonable). Cute spot on its nose - almost a kuchi-sumi.

Anything ‘Kuchi’ refers to the lips, not the nose. Kuchi = mouth

I didnt realize that a doitsu fish can be GR? Is it just the scale along the spine?
