      RDF - FLOW friend help

      All,

I am in the process of setting up my RDF and flow friend with a Bakki shower. When I connect the flowfriend to an outlet it operates just fine. When I connect it to the RDF box it cycles on and off. Can someone please tell me what is happening and what I need to do to fix the issue. What does the r on the flowfriend indicate? Thank you, I appreciate any info you can share as this is my first time setting this up.Name: READING ON FLOW FRIEND.jpg

does the pump do that with power supplied directly from a receptacle and not via the RDF box?

Does it do it very quickly when a cleaning cycle happens?
I've talked to another ponder that had the same issue and he was able to fix it with an adjustment in the controller.

The "R" just means the name is a registered trademark.

The pump does not do that when connected directly to the power from another socket. ICU2 what did the other person do to fix his issue? Yes it cycles very quickly. Thank you,

He also had a Sea Side Aquatics RDF and contacted the seller of the RDF who in turned contacted the distributor. I'd first contact
the seller and let them know of your problem and if they can't help you ask them to contact the distributor for instructions.

Let me know if you don't get help and I can reach out to the other ponder for more specifics.

I thought you hired a pond builder? Did they not build a complete project? Contact your parts supplier hopefully they will be able to guide you in the right direction.

haha.. That is an extension cord from the cleaning pump. The cleaning pump has like a 4 foot cord.

Dabar: I did hire a pond builder and he has been helpful where possible. I did not hire him to do the filtration system. I am doing that myself. I thought I was fairly competent at that but I am still having issues as the instructions are limited and this is my first time ever being around a RDF. I am sure it will all work out in the end but right now I am going through growing pains.

Why not just plug it in separately?

I don't have one of these but from talking to the other ponder the controller has the ability to shut off the
pump if for some reason the clean water side empties and the pump(s) start sucking air. If it's plugged into
a different outlet it defeats this feature.
