      Protein Skimmer

I've started to see some DOS's in the pond especially first thing in the morning so I'm away to build a DIY protein skimmer.
I got lucky today and managed to get a piece of 12 inch PVC that was 1.6 metres long..... perfect length.
I have a dog window that will make the dome on top, I already have a submersable pump so basically I just need some pipe fittings, pipe and a air line.
I will start working on it tomorrow after golf.

No it's completely empty inside apart from a 8 inch air stone.
I did add a couple of valves so that I can slow the flow into the main body to give the air a chance to separate and protein........ it's a like bit of trial and error right now
