      Matsuba vs Kujaku

I am planning to buy some metallic koi. Either Matsuba or Kujaku. Between these two, Matsuba would be a lot bigger than Kujaku, but the color of kujaku is very bright and shiny. Who are the best breeders for these two variety.

Kaneko has been producing some pretty nice Kujaku.

Indeed, Kaneko is considered the top Kujaku/Tancho Kujaku breeder but Omosako has been producing outstanding examples and winning top awards at the All Japan Koi Show in recent years.
Other breeders that put effort into their Kujaku program are Konishi, Fukazawa(Ofuchi), Ozumi Ikarashi, Marusaka, Wada, and Taniguchi.

Regarding Matsuba's...if you're talking about the metallic type then Marusei for Kin Matsuba, Kurikawa, Ogata, and Dainichi for Kin Ki Matsuba, and Oyaji for Gin Matsuba.

I would just buy a Kujaku though...once the pattern fades on a Kujaku, you'll left with a discount "Gin Matsuba" lol
