      Watonai

Now with Raingarden out of business... does anyone know of any breeders of watonai? Blackwater Creek always seems to be out. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Yeah I saw that.. I love the flowing fins of the watonai though. So far the only breeder I can find is Blackwater Creek though.

There is a young lady who used to do videos of the Orlando Koi Show and post them on-line.Have never been to the Orlando Koi Show but I remember she did a good part of her video on the numerous goldfish (ranchu, lionhead, etc) being sold at the koi show. I did a web search and found her web page "Solid Gold Aquatics" and web address [http://solidgoldaquatics.com] Her web page says she is in Deland, Florida and her e-mail address is solidgoldaquatics@gmail.com. On her web page she says she is starting to breed watonai. Not sure if she has succeeded yet but she might be a person to contact as to where she got her watonai or if she has any for sale. Just a thought and maybe a starting point. Hope this helps

Jennie from Solid Gold used to work at Black Creek, so no doubt her watonai breeding stock is from them. She might have better prices, though ...

Great information. I remember that her videos were interesting and she really loved the goldfish variety.

Finding nice goldfish, other than Ryukins, and others on-line is getting much more difficult to find. Blackwater Creek has been my source, but man they are pricey.

Just giving an update - I got put in contact with a hobby Watonai breeder, who I believe is also located in Florida. He is currently undergoing a pond upgrade and will send me pictures of what he has available once able. I'll keep you all updated.

Could I get your contact of the watonai breeder? Was hoping to find a cheaper alternative than Black creek. Would like a watonai but don’t really need a super high end looking one that they sell.
