      Oya Asagi (F)

Been an exciting day... had a spawn this morning and lost a 9” domestic Asagi in the midst of it. (Kept going in skimmer and finally jumped out through the night. In hindsight, my fault. But I also received this 24” Asagi bred by Oya this morning. She’s in a temporary qt as I’ve got 3 different tanks running all at the same time. The female, the new fish and the fry.

Anyway, better pictures to come. Let me know what you think. She does have a black spot or two on her face. Hikui? For the price she is more than worth it. Doing well after the trip.Name: EFE26225-6D87-45C5-AFA5-F91B382496E4.jpg

Good looking asagi!!! Great find. Mine had a sumi spot appearing from last winter.. koi change as they grow beni, sumi, sashi can come up or disappear nothing is guaranteed only tategoi with potential.. that's why koi breeders cull from 20,000 tosau to 300 nissai to grow out in mud pond september to may next year.

The reflection makes my head look big. Anyway, this isn’t a somewhat better picture. None of my bowls aren’t big enough for her to spread out so I probably won’t bowl her.

Thanks! Yeah found this one at kodama. They photographed her and priced her early last year so she was only supposed to be 22” but came at 24” and honestly I couldn’t be happier. $330 - was born in 2017
