I agree. Nice going! Just me, but I'd also keep the other two patterned ones #2 and #5 for a good while to watch their development.

My final koi is 7 inches. It has a nice sumi. I like to see how it develops in adult koi

My home bred sank grow to 10 inch from 6 inch in Aug. The coloration is very nice, but it lacks of a pattern for a good koi.

It doesn't lack pattern it lacks some beni on the rear. If you were trying to breed a koi for showing this show's how difficult it is to achieve that task in the gosanke group, in my eyes it's a very nice piece and kudo's to you my friend for going thru with this group of fish. In my eyes you have produced a beautiful keeper that's just my opinion keep up the good work and I can't wait for your next attempts

Update on my tosai from this breeding.
It turns out okay. I am happy with the tosai. It has strong body and good quality sumi and beni. One think I am not happy is some blemishes at side of the mouth.
