      Favorite/best mailorder plant businesses

Since many are staying home and may not be able to visit plant nurseries, I thought this would be a good time to list your favorite mail order plant companies. Be sure to list why you like them.

I will start with a few and may add others later.

For hosta I have used many with excellent plants and low prices, but alas many have now gone out of business, mainly because owners got older and retired.
      ,
      Hosta for last 3 years:

      hostas-store.com

Great service, large variety, great prices , Most plants are bare root, but are very large compared to other mail order services, but are generally leafed out. I follow directions, soak in water and plant within 1 to 2 days of arrival. Plants start growing and preform better than many potted hosta. Shipping costs are very low. Just ordered 29 plants and shipping cost was $6.00.

      Karcheskycanna.com

Beautiful large plants, mine were leafing out. Planted and they never stopped growing. Bloomed first year. Excellent service, good prices. Also has canna varieties not seen elsewhere, since Alice Harris is also the hybridizer of many of the cannas there.

I'm glad for the links! I've ordered plants/seeds online a couple of times and was really disappointed
in the results so I'm going to try some of these links.

      Thanks!

I discovered another favorite mail order business this spring, gilberthwilde.com.

I ordered perennials, daylillies, and some hibiscus. They do not have a lot of the same selections now as it is late in the season, but still a lot of choices. They also had a sale on a lot of things early this spring. I also got free shipping. Most of the plants came in 3 inch pots. They have some of the best prices that I have seen. They also offer BOGO plants.

I planted most of them in 3 gallon pots in miracle grow moisture control and they have grown exceptionally well, even in our extreme heat lately.

I couldn't be more pleased with this new find.
