      my kois are sick, help

Happened on many of my baby kois ( 2-3). The head or the gill caps seem swollen and the fish body seems wasting and skinny
Still swim and eat actively but some already died.
      Please see the pictures.
Any clues on what type of diseases? Parasites or bacterial?

Before anyone can diagnose what the cause is, we need numbers for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH morning and evening, KH, temperature, and information on the pond/aquarium/isolation tank/ whatever, and information on any strange actions/movements of the fish such as piping, flashing, isolating, fin clamping, breaching, ...

The reason for looking at water parameters first is that often the problem is associated with water quality and all the treatments for the fish or parasites won't help if the water is not pristine. The actions of the fish will also help but some of the actions can be caused by water issues or parasite issues.

I had many fry with similar gill plate deformation, maybe 1/2. I suppose it is the bad genes.

In the picture almost all them had this problem. They were all culled.
