      do these change with age

Last year late, the first week of NOvember I had a random spawn. I took 2 water hyacinths out of the pond to try and grow out some babies to look at color development. After the first week I decided with my 60 hour plus work week it was a bad idea because I could not keep up with water changes. I threw them in the green goldfish pond kind of a survival of the smartest. I caught them all when I cleaned out the pond today and noticed that some have a line of darkness that runs down their spine. Does anyone know if this goes away or gets bigger as they grow. These are cheap random spawns I will end up giving away in the end.

it was a random spawn I know my female sanke was in on it along with the yellow female. males would be the asagi and the weird colored one kinda goshiki ish. that is the ones I know that were on the chase could be any of the 9 I had really. I only pulled 2 plants out to save them to see how color develops. Was hoping for 10 survivors after I killed most of them because I am never home because of work.
the chasers I added photos of. I thought they were only a year old when i got them and was told later they were at least 2 and small because of being in a small enviroment.
