The water looks great and the fish seem to be enjoying the pond. There's not really any maintenance to do so my daily pond routine has been reduced to taking videos. I can't thank Russ enough for a really great setup.

Incredible job! An example of what can be accomplished with a professional build. Well done.

Such an awesome pond. Your water is so clear! Your koi are beautiful. That is great that you can get under the cover to watch your fish.

      Where in NC are you?

We wanted the inside dimensions of the pond to be 30' x 15' x 6' so the hole had to be big enough to account for the walls, the floor, and enough room for Russ to build the forms. Removing the dirt was easy, getting the inside of the cavity ready for Russ was a huge pain in the ... but we knew it would pay off in the long run.
This was the best prepared excavation I have had on a build. I will admit that, when I saw pictures of a string line being used to create the depth, I was worried. The floor was within 1/2" anywhere. It was perfect. I have had builds, where professional excavators were hired, and the floor was off up to 6", not deep enough and out of square. You guys were awesome.

Thank you for the opportunity to build this for you. It was a lot of fun spending time with you and Sandy and of course there was Bojangles.

Sandy and I actually went to Bojangles the other day and thought of you, hahaha!

This is a photo of the three of us celebrating--I believe it was the same day we started adding water.

Wow, Wow, Wow... it's fun to see what can be built when no expense is spared. Beautiful pond, fish, and setting. Thanks for posting. Russ I don't see any helpers with those forms. You do all this work by yourself?

Fish bowl, yes! I would guess that the biggest one is about 32 inches.

Thanks! But... Russ is extremely reasonable in price. The per-gallon price was less than what I spent on my 5000 gallon Utah pond that I built myself.

Because we dug the hole ourselves, a whopping 40% of the total build cost was showers and filter media!

You won't after you learn what it takes to dig a proper hole in the ground.

Yes, I always do the forms by myself. I do most everything in the builds by myself.

I would have went with just 1 Bottom Drain, and why don't you have any Longfin Koi?
