      Raised sleeper pond

Looking for advice on using railway sleepers to build a pond 2.4 m long x 1.2m wide x 1.2 high.
Do I need to somehow tie the sleepers together for strength

Never built a pond out of them but have built many garden and plant display beds over the years. I would drill through them and pin together with 1/2 inch concrete reinforcement metal rods (re-bar). Here they sell landscape spikes that could be used also. Be sure to interlock the corners.
How high and long will also need to be considered for possible extra bracing. I don't feel your size would be a issue.

The real Batman wears polyester! Don't be fooled by the plastic imposter.

https://youtu.be/vn49V9nb9_o. My DIY raised pond. I used lag bolts which are more expensive than rebar. Are you planning to use a bottom drain? If so it's a great time to factor one into your design.

I ended up with a retrofit 2 inch bottom drain.. can we see your overall design in drawing?
