Koi eye issue I have not seen before

      Hi
Please look at the video link and photo of eye and let me know if this is something you recognize.
It looks like a balloon like growth attached to the eye. It is on both eyes with one eye being worse than the other.
The growth does not seem to be effecting her heath but it is slowly getting bigger.
      Thanks
      Bob

Sorry, I haven't seen this before so don't know what direction to tell you to go. If it is an environmental issue, I would suggest being sure that the ammonia level is zero, and the nitrite level is zero, and the pH is stable morning to evening. I have never seen parasites cause an issue like this, so I would stay away from most parasite treatments as they are designed to kill the parasites, but most also have some effect on the fish and filters that you wouldn't want to subject them to if not needed.

This looks very much like what one of my fish has over both eyes and he is blind now. It is almost like cataracts and I have no idea why it happened or how to fix it, if there even is a way. I didn't want to take a chance trying to cut them off of the eyes, for obvious reasons. Over the years he has figured out how to function just fine. Pretty fascinating.

From the video I don't think it is cataract. Hopefully it is just some sort of granuloma or pustule (I would guess viral mediated) that will eventually be degraded or fall off. This koi needs to reabsorb her eggs.
