      New DIY Shower Filter

I have decided to start a new project for my pond. Itll be a set of DIY bakki shower with feather rock. I'm trying to keep this project under $200 just like my DIY filter 2.0.

Goal is to get a headstart on my bio for next years growth and in addition to 5 new karashigoi for heavy feeding.

      Copying farne230 ideas https://www.koiphen.com/forums/showt...Y-Bakki-Shower

I will be using the second circulation pump oases 1900 which is 1900gph
To feed into 2 inch pvc resting on the top of the three tray bakki shower

The pump will be raised off the pond bottom and be a mid level pickup so I will not be using a prefilter. Maybe in the future I can add some form of prefilter after the pump before the bakki shower

Just a heads up, shipping on oversized items can be expensive. I'd check and find out what you'd be charged before committing to them.

Still learning as I go but y'all can call me Marilyn

True marilyn I think I'll just have to pay $20/piece so total of 8 would be $160 of $200 budget.

Look like you don't have much budget left for plumping and feather rock Feather rock probably costs more than your budget allowance to fill up that 8 totes You may have to increase that limit, or reducing number of totes. Your pond is small, and if you plan to use that 1900 gph pump, I am not sure you really need the shower that big (with 8 totes) And a lot of people use the totes from Home Depot or Costco, less expensive and no shipping cost

That looks too big. Won't it cover your viewing area?

If you need another decent option, this is what I used for my shower. Not the cheapest but they are built very strong. I got them from Walmart online for about $23 shipped. Just search for the part number to find the cheapest option.

Those are strong and sturdy but wont rest on my 2x8s that sitting ontop of my pond edge against the cinder block wall. Build and screw in a base?

I am using these (it's still not done, I haven't had time to mess with it). I think I got them a little cheaper on sale and free shipping.

Okay i just measured the dimensions for the bakki trays

Without any additional support and letting trays rest on the pond ledge
      I can fit 80"Lx11"Wx44"H

So for a 1900gph pump what dimensions should the bakki shower do you recommend?
