Any good Budo Goromo American breeders?

I know a good Budo Goromo isn't very common, but I'm hoping to get one on the darker side some time in the future...

American breeder, no. You can find some good ones on import. I picked up a Tosai from Russ at PSKoi back in the spring that I am enjoying. You kind of have to just watch his threads on his forum when he posts his trips to get first dibs on some of them. Others may have some, but its always a little hunt to get what you want.

Try Ken Liu at Barstow Koi Farm. He's an Asian American Breeder in California. He has customers in Japan that fly here for fish.

That's interesting as, to the best of my knowledge, koi are not allowed to be imported into Japan.

Still learning as I go but y'all can call me Marilyn

I thought this too. I remember hearing about Japanese breeders not being able to show koi in other countries because the koi could never return if it did.

That would be impossible as they could never import them back to Japan. He does have customers in the US that go to Japan to buy fish.

It is pretty hard to find nice, affordable Budo Goromo let alone Budo Goromo. This one is sold but it went very fast as they are hard to find.

He's got somebody that comes. Maybe they don't Import, IDK honestly. I think he's had a Koi win some big shows this year though. He's another person i hope to buy from someday, really beautiful Koi.

There are not many fish that speak to me but that was one. I limit myself in the hobby but that one was testing me and if it was still there for another week or so I would have just bought it.

One time exception, after the big earthquake 2004 in japan. A few lost more than 90% of their broodstock, so they bought back koi which were sold previously to koi hobbist to other countries and imported back to japan as broodstock.
