      HydroSieve - PF?

Sorry not a review, but does anyone have any thoughts on how effective and easy to clean the HydroSieve - PF from Russell Watergardens and Koi is? Thanks!

The Vendor forum is for reviews only so I moved your thread to the Construction forum...
I know a couple people here have used or used to use them so hopefully you'll get some useful
      info.

Iím using it from my 4Ē bd. Works great. I just clean it out once a week, takes about 2 mins using a hose.
The little bits that get through it are trapped in the sand and gravel filters.
There are better choices of course but for my budget and needs I have no complaints.

Note the sieve part is not a parabolic curved screen made from edgewire such as is in Cetus or UltraSieveIII.

Filter basket is small. I'd be afraid of quick plugging during seasonal conditions such as seeds and leaves.

I still have one that I took out a while ago. Does it work? Yes. However be prepared to clean it twice per day at times in the season. You will not be able to leave it for extended periods without it clogging up. There are much better options than these out there, unless you love daily maintenance.

I built a pond several years ago for my parents before I knew much about BDs. They are not able to keep up with the maintenance on a daily basis. Iím removing the long stream, and want to put a retrofit bottom drain in that would go to a simple prefilter then pump emptying right back into pond. There will be no fish. Itís not worth spending a lot of money. Any ideas?

You should probably start a new thread as this one is about the HydroSieve.

Beautiful setup with lots of vegetation and its associated debris. The solution will be determined by your budget and and equipment already existing on the setup. Not knowing existing equipment and without a budget range difficult to suggest ideas.
