      Can someone identify what these moving green things are on my koi?

      are these parasites? at first I thought it was piece of algae, but upon closer inspection they seem to move and squirm around. No idea what these are, any idea guys?

      Those are fish lice and they will kill your Koi. You have a huge infestation. I have not seen that many on a Koi in years. You need to order DimilinX as soon as possible.

      Thanks. I have ordered dimilin x, gonna take a week or more to get here. Have also order Hikari cyropro which contains cyromazine. Havenít used these before. Can I use the the cyropro to treat the infestation first until the dimilin arrives?

      It is listed as effective for lice.

      For future reference, you can get Dimilin X on Ebay and it will arrive much more quickly. They have some listed that would arrive by Wednesday (for me).

      By the way, if you like biological means of control you can get a school of tiger barbs or angelfish. I have read that they love to eat fish lice!
