Closing Pond --Burlington, NC -- Japanese Koi

With a heavy heart, I've decided to sell my koi. Although craigslist is an option, most amateur hobbyists will not be able to take care of these monsters. They are just too big. Lots of variety to choose from Kohaku, Showa, Utsuri, Platinum Ogon, Chagoi, etc. Most are standard fin in the 30+ inch range, but I do have a few butterfly. Some local people strongly encouraged me to take the Kohakus to show, but I felt it was too stressful for the fish.

It's difficult to take show pics or to even catch these guys, because the pond is 6 feet deep and 14,500 gallons. When I do catch them, I can't lift out of the water. This is one of the reasons that I'm sending them to better homes.

I will attach some videos. Come cherry pick or take all and resell. Make me an offer.

Do you have pictures of your best show quality Kohaku? Thanks 🙏

I work in Durham which looks like about a half hour drive from Burlington. Feel free to send me a PM. I'm interested in Kohaku.

I'm not sure if they'll be within my price range- If anything, I can at least lend you a hand and/or seines to catch your koi.

Both their pm and email settings are "on"... are you getting an error message?

Sorry to hear of your plight, I imagine that it's not an easy decision to make. I live in Clemmons and lately I have been contemplating adding a chagoi to my "herd". What is the size range of your chagoi(s)? I would be able to come up over the weekend if that suits you.

I’m local as well and have a 15000 gallon pond so if you still have fish I’d love to come take a look.
