Elite 800 Series 4600 External Pond Pump

      1/12HP 115V 178w 19' 4600gph.
Hi gang, I'm looking for a new pump for my pond. Based on the info it gave, it sound too good to be true. Does any one use this pump before? if yes, how does it run?

Here is a screen shot from the mfg site. Looking at the watts used and comparing to others in its class such as Performance Pro Cascade and Sequence the Elite 800 flow specification is definately over estimated by a large amount So for the stated flow it is too good to be true.

You might want to look at Periha pumps such as the 25000 model. Many koi keepers are using them. There are several models with different capacities and multiple speeds.

Their prices are competitive. In the past I tried calling the support number and emailing Legendary Sale asking origin of the motor and more detailed motor info including efficiency percentage and never got a response back. Very little pump data posted on sales web sites and no direct manufacture web site supporting the pumps. Only a few reviews posted on Amazon. Shown below is one of the negative ones.

The pumps are offered by Legendary Sale. All vendor sites for the pumps link to them. Here is their overall rating for all products sold on Amazon.

I sent them an email 3 days ago and haven't hear anything back. So, it seem like they lie about the performance of the pump.

I bought the Elite 5600ELT12 pump for my pond trusting their data was at least close. I performed a flow test and the actual specs at 5' head are 2,400 gph at 190 watts. I'm going to contact the manufacturer and attempt to return this pump.

I switch all my pumps to Periha. On one pond I run 3. One on each of my Nexus 320's, one on my shower an one on my waterfall. Not only do they work well they also save money on my electric bill.
On my small pond I have one from a Nexus 300 and one to a shower.

Other Sites Sale prices are our everyday prices.
