I have quite a few taro plants outside right now and am wondering at what temperature they need to come inside. I never seem to remember from year to year! Getting too old to keep all that in my head, I suppose.
Yesterday we were in the 90's here, today it will be over 20 degrees cooler. Overnight temps are going to drop into the 40's in the next few days, some in the low 40's. I've read that they won't survive under 45 degrees. Is that correct?
Also, quite a few of mine are in the waterfall or in pots of rocks with no soil, so those are all bare root. Do I need to pot those up when I bring them inside?
I've been keeping them inside in a kiddie pool during winter, always in water. But some of the smaller ones rotted. Would it be better to let them dry out and only water them once in a while?
Sorry for all the questions. I want to get this right this time around.
Thanks for your help.
