      Filter Dilemma

Hi all, I have just about finished my pond build and have had second thoughts on the filter I was going to install, the pond is about 9,500 ltrs and was thinking of installing an EasyPod Air.

If installed it would be running close to its maximum of 10,000 ltrs, would it be possible to either run an EasyPod Air and an Oase Biotec 36,000 together to get the desired effect. My other option was installing 2 EasyPod’s but only have 1 x 110mm bottom drain, could both be coupled to the bottom drain and 1 30000ltr Varipump.

I was looking at a Nexus 220 but because of the dimensions they will not fit into the space where they are to be installed, your thoughts please

I wish I was more familiar with these filters but I'm really not, but I wonder what is your "desired effect"?
30k lph would amount to almost 8k gph which is normally too much for a single 4" gravity fed BD but I'm not sure
if this setup uses gravity or pump feed?
If nothing else this will give your post a bump for more knowledgeable people to weigh in.
Good luck and enjoy the forum!

I have an EAzy POD, and while I do like it, it think it is probably not going to be enough bio-filtration for the amount of water you are proposing (although much depends on your stocking level of fish). Using it in combination with a second filter (be that another EAzy POD or something else) would certainly be an improvement in filtration and pond capacity.

i had an eazypod and got rid of it. Too difficult to clean, too much time you have to spend with it to clean and it doesnt get everything either. look at Rotary drum filters (RDF) instead.
