      Media leakage

Hello, new here and in need of help please. I have a nexus 310 and it's permanently spilling out media. My pond is covered in the beads. I keep netting, but more is there in a couple of hours. Can't see what is going on! Help!!! Real novice doing my best.

Welcome and thanks for joining Koiphen!

I wish I could help but I've never had a Nexus so this post is just to give yours a bump up to the top to hopefully
find someone who does or has had one and might be able to help.

      Enjoy the forum!

Hi Cheryl, is your Nexus pump fed or gravity fed? Pump feed means the water pump is before the Nexus... gravity would mean the pump is after the Nexus. And you should have a metal plate with slots that restrict the K1 from exiting the Nexus... it fits in the bottom of the output section. The media shouldn't be getting to that plate, but the plate prevents it from going all the way to the pond in case of an overflow. I'm familiar with Nexus 300 but not the 310, so there may be some differences I'm not aware of.
