      pool to pond

I not sure which way to go just exploring the possibilities. Have 2 very large koi ponds on the property already and not really wanting a 3rd.
Have had the pool 16 years now and it seems its just not going to get used enough for the trouble and expense. Really would make a
beautiful pond and think it would be an easy build. My 2 ponds are interlinked but could shut 1 are the other down. My 2nd pond build is the
best looking pond but never been to thrilled with it because I don't get the interaction with the fish like my first. To shut down the first would
be a really large job because that is where most of the filtration and bogs are located. Will try posting pics tomorrow. Is there articles here on
      pool conversions.

Hope you'll share the build with us if you decide to convert it!

Most of the websites I find don't know what their talking about are want you to liner your pool so they cant make an expensive job out of it.

I've never done a pool conversion but what I've read is most pools have plumbing to bottom drains and skimmers
that are way too small (2") for a koi pond so in order to facilitate a larger plumbing often times people suggest
redoing the plumbing by adding sand or some type of filler on the pool bottom with the correct size plumbing for
gravity fed pipes and adding a liner.
A lot of pools have a huge volume of water too and a lot don't have the means to try and filter that much water.
But just like any project, it's all only limited by your budget and imagination!
