look at what I found in the trash

ok maybe not trash but I really doubt they will get planted this year. Look at the calico coleus and then look at the first cell in that flat. See it peaking out from the weeds. I was sure surprised. I was sure I had lost all of my Variegated Macrohizia Alocasia. GrayCat can tell you how obsessed I became with them when she post her first pic from Hawaii. Well last year I had 4 pretty nice pots of them and they were starting too get great big leaves. well all the crowns rotted over winter and I thought I had lost all of them. I have been lucky because a few weeks ago some of the bulbs I found this spring when repotting started too sprout and now I have quite a few starts of them. you can see the others on my thread about working in the yard.

n June of 2016 I got these 2 Luteas. They never did a lot but they did multiply, I never did divide them though and then in the winter the sowbugs ate the bulbs up. I know that some say that they just eat rotten stuff but I have seen them eat my tomatoes and strawberries and have found them on the bulbs of my Alocasia and Colocasia. Well I thought I had lost both of them because the last one rotted in half this winter. I was just outside and in those same bunch of pots I found that little variegated Mac I found this little Lutea and it has a side shoot already.
