      screebmatic 18000 from oases

Anyone used this screebmatic 18000 model yet

Seems like a very price point for a good quality product
Simply a good option for people that don’t want to go full rdf.

Biotec screenmatic 2 140000 or 3850gph is a nice option for people with a 1-2k gallon pond

I haven’t used one yet. I think they are mostly from Europe. I have only used theirs oases 5000 which is probably good for a 200 gallon pond even though they advertised for 5000 liters

Just curious, I don't often see an endorsement without having had experience with it.
I know filters are hugely overrated, that is the appeal of the KISS philosophy. Good mechanical filtration, good bio filtration with as little maintenance to achieve clean water.

Don't have one. According to specifications and photos 300 micron screen and captured debris is emptied into a small collection tray. Small as in very small. On the surface looks like a pump fed or gravity sieve would be a better option. Bio section is tiny.

I have the 24000 by screenmatic 2 by oase. It performs very well. I clean the foams once weekly and my water has been very happy. Easy to use easy to clean. I recommend it for any pond less than 3000 gallons. It’s been running for a little over a year. No issues.

I don’t know how 1.5 inch can support 4000gph flow rate

I admit when I got into the hobby, these types of filters seemed pretty freaking cool. Having seen what some people's sieves and RDF's clear out in a day, I think the average koi keeper would be a slave to the waste tray emptying it twice a day during feeding season. At the time they came out, they were a bit ahead of the game as RDF"s were not that common and very out priced so the idea of a moving screen was something else. Unfortunately for them RDF's have gotten cheaper and designed better that the product has become somewhat obsolete.

My brother has one - paid $2000 for the biggest one - without the UV. I've seen it called the Ferrari of filters - I wanted one but it's gravity feed.

I have an Oase Filtoclear 8000 pressure type with 55W UV built it.

My 2500 gallon pond is crystal clear. Has been all summer - time to turn off the UV for winter.

I like Ferraris especially in filters. Lol

I'm doing an American Corvette c8 z06 DIY filter 2.0 build right now
