Please Comment on my Doitsu Showa

      Good Day/Evening.

As some here may already know, I am mostly fond of asagi and hikarimuji-mono breeds. Gosankes barely get my attention, except when they are doitsu. So I finally decided to buy a 10-inch tosai Shinoda doitsu showa, but I am not exactly sure how I fared in my selection. What are the pluses and minuses? Sorry if you find my pictures as quite rough. Thanks for the assessment.

I’m no expert but I would say this would be just a pond grade fish, with a decent body. I also really like doistu fish. Took me awhile to find a nice female Showa.

The body is good, not easy for a Doitsu, but it may be a bit short. The Beni seems even except for the tail area. Even Beni a good thing. The Sumi is only on the Beni which makes it difficult to assess its quality. I would think the Sumi would be stronger since it has a red base to start with. Since you said you don't like Gosanke, I think this is a good fit for you.

I do think you likely have a female. Enjoy!

Still learning as I go but y'all can call me Marilyn
