Yes they get way taller 12 feet I think by December. I need to get a sugarcane juicer. Sugarcane juice goes well with cumquats

The second row smaller plants are what I planted recently.

Its probably been 50 years or so since I really chewed on some good sugar cane. I tried too grow it a few years ago and it did not do very well here in oklahoma.

Haven't seen any runners yet. There were a few that new seedlings that came up seeds that fell of the plant from last year. I just pluck it up from the grass then viola

Mine was producing several fruits, then went crazy wild. Just grew out of control with no fruit.

Now I have a banana patch there.

Did you replace it? Some years they dont produce fruit. Like mine 2 years back, all the flowers were burned off with the bakersfirld 100 degrees heat. This year temp was lower during flowering so lots of fruits.

Are your banana producing? Ours this year is producing 3 fruits sets but slow to ripening because of cooler temp now.
