      3 new additions

      Doistu Showa nisai, 20” female

Taniguchi GR Showa nisai close to 20” female

      Murata kohaku nisai 21” female

I bought the kohaku knowing it has some Beni issues, time will tell. These pics were taken when they were just coming out of Qt, light feeding for the last 2 months. In the main pond now and I can start feeding them!

You have a good eye for body conformation.

Maybe it means I'm learning something, I was thinking the same.

Beautiful koi. Claiming ignorance here - folks don't mention sources too often, is that for a reason, i.e., protecting sources?

Thanks, my goals for this new pond are 30” plus fish. In the old pond I couldn’t achieve this goal, due to many factors. The main one being the wrong fish! With a lot of reading and help from others I’m trying to get fish with the potential. Time will tell, our growing season is short here but so far been happy with the growth so far.

Thanks, Kodama and Russ(PSKoi) are the sources. The doistu breeder is Hiroi.

Love the Doistu Showa. The color pattern is nicely balanced. Just need a little more montegoru on the fins. She is going to be a beauty

I can't wait to get for some nice koi. Maybe next year, I'll be ready.

Take your time on the pond and get it right the first time and you’ll be really glad you did. Took me 3 tries lol!
