I just purchased a used 6,000 filter and buried it. After connecting it I found that it leaks (there is a crack on the body of the valve near the union) so I called Aqua and they are sending me a new complete valve. My question is about how to remove the valve to replace it with a new one since it is buried and I can not drain the water from the bottom drain. I am afraid that when I undo the 3 unions and remove the clamp holding the valve in place and lift the valve the tank will be full of water and the water and beads will overflow onto the ground. Is there a way to remove the valve without losing beads? Thanks for your help.
