      Lily Pruning Question

Hi guys, so just like all lilies mine bloom for 3 days then the flower recedes underwater where I guess it turns to mush. I have been snipping off the flowers stalks after they go under. I do the same thing for the lilypads when they turn yellow and start to sink.

In my mind I'm reducing some plant material becoming bio waste and ultimately just going in my filter one day anyway- is there any issue with this pruning that might hurt my Lilies though?

That's perfectly normal. Keep doing what you're doing.

I cut them off as close to the rhizome as possible.

It won't hurt the lily. It also keeps seeds from sprouting in your pots.
