      143 days later.....

Been tempted to scoop some out and take pictures, but the anti-raccoon PVC/Chickenwire thing is a bit of a pain and only scares them under the algae every time i move it.... so i took a video instead.

      Smaller koi are ~0.75in
      Biggest 3 or 4 are ~3-4"

Agreed. 3 of them have similar patterns. From the top they kind of look like shusui influence just the way the pattern wraps around their dorsal (top center in pic below). Also some potentially interesting tancho'ish patterns in the bottom left corner

Random update, now that Seattle is starting to warm up a bit. Noticed my population of tiny fish seemed to be decreasing slightly, but wasn't sure why, since my top-of-the-line raccoon blocking mechanism was in place Walked outside one afternoon and saw a frog hanging out in the algae, with his head above the water. Went in, cleaned out the growth, removed the frog, and fish safety restored!
Took quick video of the remaining, my estimate is ~50 fish left. I always forget how many dark ones are hiding in there that aren't well-visible.

Next step: decide what to do with them. I'll keep a handful for this small entry-way pond, but will likely give away the majority. Probably won't try this again, was a lot more work than I was anticipating lol
