Installing pool skimmer in a liner pond

Do I have to use the rubber gaskets that came with the skimmer on either side of the liner when installing my pool skimmer to liner?
I want to make sure it is just the same as installing it in a pool.

Make sure it is a skimmer for a spa or above ground swimming pool. Yes, use gaskets and waterproofing sealant to prevent leaks. Check out The PondDigger YouTube videos for a detailed skimmer installation.

      Hold on.
Tomorrow I’ll find some pics for how I did mine.
PL sealant worked well for me.
