      Pondfishguy 2019 double spawn

I had a full pond spawn Saturday morning and after spending several hours cleaning up the mess, I checked the pond at Noon and had another full spawn. The culprits appear to be a Kohaku, Sanke and Bekko. There are about 8 males that participated in the event.
I transferred the spawning ropes to an aquarium and they hatched today. Attached is a photo of the 1/2 day old fry. They still have their egg sacs. Since there are several thousand, it's quite the sight.

Very nice. I have hand spawn goldfish before in a 55 gallon pond it’s quite a site. Congrats

      Do you have a video?

You are sure getting an early start. Maybe it will help them grow this year. What varieties were the female(s)? Got any photos of the parents?

How big is that aquarium and what are you doing to keep good water quality?

They are in about 40 gallons. I have an Eheim canister filter and a 5 gallon bucket of filter matting. The tank has been running over 5 years so the bio is well established and maintains 0 ammonia.

I have to ask. What are you feeding them? All of their bellies are full in that pic. That’s awesome.
