Plans for spring planting, especially easy, hardy and low maintenance

I am planning on planting more things in my yard that are easier, hardy and low maintenance.

So far this spring my plan is adding reblooming daylilies, cannas and dahlias in pots that I will put in the greenhouse that covers my pond in the winter.

The daylilies may be pots this year, but go in the ground next year. I am just not sure if I will like all that time that they are not blooming and look like large grass clumps. But have found that the do well in my yard.

What have you found to be easy, hardy, low maintenance and looks good?

What are you planning to plant this year?
      Nancy

Amaryllis and Crinum Lilles; both are pretty drought resistant for me (whom has a broken sprinkler system for a couple years) and do well even in the hottest parts of my yard.
They only bloom once or twice a year though for me though.
