At 9:03 am today I official activated frequent feed mode 6am-8pm 10 units

Feed started at 6am and last feed at 8pm and 8 times in between.

I have 25 hungry tosai in my 1000 gallon pond hope they’ll inhale of all the feed. When I get home if there’s extra I’ll cut it down.

Need more tosai . I’ll collect some more April first when I get down to Orange County to do our taxes

Dude, have you check the Guinness book record? You might have the most tosai in 1000 gallon pond for a hobbyist. Hehe

I like the P7000 for the ability to feed like this. When I used them on my pond, I was filling it every day. Mind you, that was not for the tosai I had, lol.

That sounds like a very reasonable amount. It's early in the season yet but I suspect with 25 koi you'll see them consume that readily. One thing that people may not realize is that it is advantageous to let them adapt to being on a feeder. With this setting on this feeder, you can always increase the amount.

If he keeps up the 50%+ weekly water changes he might just get away with it.

Wow went home tonight and 250 grams of food were all consumed by the tosai. Not even an extra pellet anywhere.

You should consider waterchange twice a week which is better 25-30% rather half volume at once
Or flow through if you got the money see kevin32

Just made an adjustment on the feeder
6am-7pm frequent feed mode and at 8 units.
There was extra food pellet floating on top of the water at 10:30am and not consumed from previous setting

7:30pm last night there was dark already. I had to leave the light on for the tosai to finish their dinner

In your previous setting, you start feeding at 6am... which mean that by 10:30am you would have had at 3-4 feedings this morning. How did you determined that the 'extra food pellets' were from the night before? And since you left the light on for them to finish their dinner, why would there be extra pellet floating? I'm trying to learn here.

Oh, I get it. Unless what you're saying is that by 10:30am, the previous feeding from 6am onwards were not consumed at the 10:30am mark... and you're thinking that adjusting the feeding window from 6am - 8pm to 6am - 7pm with 2 less feedings would make a difference? a difference of maybe xx minutes interval will make a difference?
