You can set anytime you want duh
If you set start at 6am and stop at 6:10am and 36 units
I guarantee it will dispense all 36 units within 10 minutes

Why do you keep insisting that the max is 36 units? Have you tried increasing by pressing the + button? If I remember right, it goes to 90 units. Now I don't know if it'll do 90 units, but I don't see why not. I personally do 40-50 units in the summer.

The thing with the frequent feeding mode is that it will only dispense 1 unit at a time... this is a very small amount for a large herd or large koi, meaning some will not get to eat during during this serving... so use at your own risk.

As for feeding 24/7? That what I did last year. Can't attribute any great outcome due to it, but definitely don't see a negative. I know it's debatable, but my observation is koi eat/graze all day... including at night. As stated above, 1 unit is not much, so this keeps them hungry and continuously looking for food. I'll end the report here, as I will consolidate various methods from last year into this year and hope to see good results.

      Bro doman
Why not try a koi cafe with 10x plus feeding timer
Like I said already this is just for an avg ponder
Most high roller koi chichi already owned a koi cafe or the large solar version
Time to buy less koi and save up for the real feeder

Omg, have you seen the price tag on those units? LOL I'm still learning and will invest after I come to a conclusion.

. I’m just trying to figure the feeding capacity of the p7000. Don’t think I’ll every get past 5 units at my current herd. 6am-6pm and maybe till 8pm during summer. Just hypothetically speaking as per manufacturer advertising that the product will dispense max meal size is 4 cups.

But having reread the product description it says max meal size is 2 cups x3 so it can optimally dish out 6 cups.
Now having said that, do you think that in frequent mode it’ll dish out as much food as long as their feed in the hopper?
I’m just trying to figure out the optimal feed output of the product is all.

Now the question is that do koi sleep or need sleep when one leave the lights on 24/7 for feeding purposes?

Maybe a small chagoi tosai in a heated 200 gallons lights on 24/7 and constant feed. #max gains

I got another P7000 so now I have two but won't be using it until mid June for one and they both will be kicking in by mid August. Each feeder will be set up to feed three times a day so six times on auto feed and two to three times with me will see how growth go this year.
