Now we maintain moisture in and around the pond, we will wait 1-2 weeks for the concrete to cure then treat with muriatic acid and seal with epoxy.

Great you are letting the concrete cure also. Some builders skip this step and just waterproof or use paint the next day. Anyone that knows concrete will frown on that.

I really like the jets on the bottom sides to help keep the bottom clean.

Why are you using an epoxy to seal the pond when the Xypex is already in the concrete?

We are using epoxy to keep the surface as smooth as possible and a preventative for water marks.

Out of curiosity, how does PP start the nitrifying cycle?

It is a oxidizer used to prime plastic material
      In this case epoxy sealer.
Also gets rid of many heavy metals in water that do not promote bacteria growth in ponds this in-turn starts a healthy cycle of bacteria to grow without fluctuations or (new pond syndrome).
The pond is 3 months in and blanketed with a thin layer of algae on the walls that fish can thrive off.

I bought a house a couple of years ago which came with a five thousand gallon aquascape pond. I got addicted to Koi and now that I know more (thanks to this website and others) I am looking into building a fifteen thousand gallon Koi dedicated pond like this. However, I live in Denver Colorado. Do you construct ponds in other towns like Denver?
