      Frosty Flowers

Okay there may have been no frost, but there were flowers and we did dip to 42 F so frost was possible. < g > The first picture is Calla Lily 'Hercules' I have grown from seed and brought it in for the night to protect the first bloom. Other than that there is a bog violet, an unnamed tropical viviparous lily, a bog Gentian ( Sabatia sp. ), an Amorphophallus sp., Turbina corymbosa and last but not least.....St. John's Wort.

Very nice Craig. The Amorphophallus plants are always interesting to me after visiting MoBot and seeing a selection of different varieties of them. I will have to post some photos I have come across on another social media site from a guy who takes photos of plants like Amorphophallus species in the wild. They are amazing. I will post them in this thread.

Ok, I dug these up for you Craig. These photos are from Joni Hartino who goes out into the jungles to find these and photo them. You know the first is Titanum. Then Amorphophallus gigas. Then beccarii. Last is a different species and the flower is called rafflesia. Thought you might like these.
