      He got some awards congratulations
Jeff had a heck of a time transferred her to the show
I will let Jeff explains more later ....
I dropped the Gin Rin Chagoi (Diamond Girl) on Friday when I was putting Her in the transport tank . I had Her in a 60 inch heavy duty bag like the Japanese breeders do , and I stood up on the tailgate of My truck to lift Her into the tank. She broke through the seam of the bag and landed on the concrete head first from about 6 ft in the air . There was blood everywhere , and She and I were slipping in it. Try picking up a bleeding slippery 36’’ fish. I decided to take Her to the show so that I could care for Her if needed , because I didn’t want Her to be at home alone while I was at the show. She wasn’t swimming much on Friday , but by Saturday , She was doing much better . I didn’t sleep at all Friday night worrying about Her . She’s home now , so I hope She’ll be OK .

      1) Kudos for the effort of showing a 36" fish, 2) sorry for the grief and 3) I'm glad she is ok

Everyone look there’s Spider-Man. As I pull up with a tow truck to hall away everyone’s expensive koi.

      Beep beep beep

Got some nice ones there. Did you have your koi in the show mitchiesan?

      Hi All,

Our great member Catfish Whiskers (Jeff) won the following prizes:

      A. Gin Rin Chagoi (90+ cm): Non GoSanke Champion
      B. Sanke (65-75 cm): Mature Champion
      C. Kohaku (Over 75 cm): Best in Size 8
      D. Sanke (65-75 cm): Best in Size 7

Two (2) of the above Kois were raised by him from Tosai (7" to 9") to their current sizes (Chagoi 90+ cm) and Kohaku (over 75 cm), which is an outstanding accomplishment and shows his dedication and knowledge in keeping koi or as most of us know (keeping water quality). I want to take this time congratulate him not only on his accomplishments but also his husbandry skills, his passion for the hobby and willingness to help others in this hobby.

Thank you Jeff for all the help you have given us and continue to give us. One can only dream of taking a small tosai and growing it to these massive sizes while maintaining the body and quality. I personally hope achieve the same one day !!

      Congratulations Jeff!

Hope the big girl makes a full recovery. Miss Piggy was about that same size and I carried her around
the same way (in a bag) and I know if I had dropped her, I might have never got her back up off the ground!
