Has your pond frozen over yet?

I can't believe our pond here in Pa. hasn't been iced over yet. Maybe Al Gore was right years ago, after all he did invent the Internet.

Mine haven't frozen either and I'm north facing with tree coverage. First time in at least 15 years that I haven't brought the fish inside for the winter.

Several freeze and thaw cycles so far. Still plenty of time left for nasty weather. AL didn't make any money off inventing the internet but made up for it by making millions off global warming.

Almost froze over. My heater and bubbler have kept it open. We had rain and then temps plummeted so I have a lot of ice on my tarp working against me:/

On Tuesday I was digging my pond in shorts and a tee shirt. Not bad for January. Gotta love living in the South.

You have a larger choice of flowering plants and a longer growing season too! *drooling*

How about now, Pennsylvanians, any Ice yet? I didn't go out there but it looks like my pond is covered with a thin layer today (except for the bubbler hole), and I'm in zone 5; high elevation though. Current Temp. 17*F. Wind 2mph

Only my ponds/tanks under 1000 gallons have been frozen and only briefly - less than 2 days. My larger QT tank and ponds rarely freeze and my largest pond has never frozen, even the years it was not covered by greenhouse. Went into greenhouse yesterday at
37 degrees, fed the fish, and my 8 month old Labrador which I had been worried about being too cold outside, got into pond and took a dip. She got out panting like she was hot. I guess it has not been too cold outside for her.

No surface freezes here yet. Air temps have been very weird here this winter. It was actually colder for most of November than it was in December or January so far. I looked at the actual low temps for those days. After a mild start to Nov, temps dropped. The average daily low in the last 3 weeks of Nov was 29 F. But the average daily low in Dec was 32 F, and 31 F so far in Jan. (meteorological head-fake)

The coldest temperature here this winter so far has been 18 F way back on Nov 14th!

No ice yet. Snow on the lid of the pond again.
The water So far has only been down to 36.
The temp in the water is usually 40 with only a 1 degree difference between the top and the bottom.
