      Ultima II 10,000 filter basket

Hi. I am new to this forum but I have owned a few Koi's the last couple of years. A friend gave me a Ultima II 10,000 filter. I have taken it apart and everything seemed to be in good condition with the exception of the filter basket. It is warped and allowing a little bit of filter beads out during backwash. I reached out to Aqua Ultraviolet and was quoted almost $100 for the filter basket alone. Is there a skimmer basket that will drop in to the Ultima II 10,000 filter? Perhaps a hayward or any brand? I hope someone here knows. Thanks in advance.

I converted a Hayward sand filter unit once and I hope it is similar since I don’t own an ultima 10k

Thank you! I saw your thread and I have to agree to just buy it from ultima to save me all the trouble. BTW, did you ever figure out how to put a bleed off valve for the blower? I was looking at the very same blower your cousin burned out. Again, thank you for your time. I appreciate your help.

I added a tee between and use my hand to block it off and on since everything is removable
Haven’t been to the cousin for awhile but the pond relies on just this diy unit and no bellies up
