Wow looking good bro. Beni and shiroji look great and that skin is just shining. All my fish are looking pretty nice.

As for the fish that had beni loss i had in a shallow intex and pond temps got to 86 degrees. Comparing those that failed a year ago is not relevant to my fish that are now indoors and also paid alot more for my newest koi then the batch of 36 tosai I raised. I'm trying not to argue to much on here so I didnt pull the quote. I'm also bringing some kohaku from the batch of 36 to the show. I only have 1 tank now and not sure which to bring

RO 44 /1:1 ratio donít want to waste too much water but that will end up for good use

Iím gonna try to remove 50 gallons a day and add slowly for now
Is this the flow through RO? How are you removing the excess 50gpd?

Gravity drain with a1/4” tube to a 55g barrel daily to water plants
Meantime set RO to drips the same amount to keep tank at same level
Triaa and errors but close enough

Very nice I’m still using a filter Samsung water filter from our Samsung fridge for drinking. Those suckers are $40/pop from Best Buy. I might upgrade to ro for our drinking water

Great read. Makes me reconsider my position on KH. I've been afraid to go below 3. Looks like that may be a good target. Just need to keep that Masuro pumping. Happy Koi Keeping.

I’ll need to set up 100gph on my 1000 gallon pond. Which equate to 10 percent water change daily. I just got to figure out how to install an overflow to drain it out of my pond.

      Hi,

I'm back, didn't anticipate that promoting MaSuRO for commercial aquaculture took that much of time and focus, a lot more than I wanted.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads and to-be-dads!

BTW, Kevin32's Koi did OK at the 2019 ZNA NorCal show https://www.koiphen.com/forums/showt...63#post2711063 . Below are AkwaKoi products at the same show.

The MaSuRO purified Genki's pond water (courtesy of Kevin Pham) to ultra clear and clean water, rejecting 10% as waste. Arrow 1 = original pond water, arrow 2 = clean water, arrow 3 = reject water (which looks tea-like amber).

Good total read! Lots of food for thought. Is this unit becoming available anytime soon or did I miss that info while reading through the thread?

It is available now. I've been using mine for about 4 months now.

Thanks for your interest in our MaSuRO.

Here is a typical MaSuRO system for installation at large pond (shown with AkwaKoi proprietary membrane)

Typical system for installation at small ponds is displayed at koi show in picture above. Kevin's production system (small pond system serial #001 ) is shown here https://www.koiphen.com/forums/showt...21#post2703421)

AkwaKoi MaSuROô reverse osmosis pond water purification system offers the most cost effecive, sustainable, and compact solution to purify koi pond water and reduce the general hardness and total dissolved solids levels. MaSuROô is designed specifically for pond water purification. Each system comes with the process recipe developed to prevent pH crash and augment the MaSuROô capability.

Kevin what results have you had on the sumi of your koi. I feel ive heard varying opinions on water hardness regarding sumi.

My goshiki is still getting sumi in nicely. My 6 year old gr goshiki is dark as can be with sumi. Showas looks good but other than that I just have alot of kohaku and fish that dont have any sumi at all so hard to tell to be honest. I havent seen any sumi go down per say. I just moved my gin matsuba to the ro pond and the sumi is still making its way down the body so will be interesting to see how it develops from here. I've still learning etc myself and am honest with my results and what I've seen.

Thanks for the info kevin, after talking with Akwa I may not need the RO system after all. I have relatively soft water from tap as is 50 to 75 . The only thing is is my tds from tap is 265. Im not sure if this would be considered good or not in this application. I feel it's good enough for me and haven't had much beni loss in my pond quality koi. I will buy better quality fish one day and hopefully get a better idea of my tap water quality.

The system is pretty intriguing though and im excited to see results over a longer period. Keep up the good work you 2!
