I can get 30 tosai and pay later for them. Many think 15 koi in 1300 gallons is not possible. I've proven that is not always true.

What makes yours better than others with a RDF, shower, and a carbon filter?

Yes it is new. Not on the market yet so I cant share. We should be selling them in 3 or 4 weeks

What did you keep your TDs at? I'm at 375 now. Was 780

R/O is Extremely Complicated and Possibly Dangerous

These are the type of posts of mine that were very unpopular with some in the past and I vowed not to post anymore about these things but here I go again

My water was extremely hard, very high GH, tds, pH,etc but KH (alkalinity) was good at 120.

Many of these things are related. You can't just look at tds, pH, etc by themselves.

R/O strips the water of everything so it has limits to what can be achieved with any one particular parameter with its' use.

Let's use your tds = 780. When you lower it, GH & KH will also lower at the same %. The pH will decrease but the ORP will increase in its' inverse relationship.

For example; if your tds is 780 and and you KH is 120 (plug your own #'s in) and you lower it 50% it would be tds 390, KH 60. 80% would be tds 156, KH 24 (during this time your pH will continue to lower and your ORP will skyrocket! Eventual results will be a pH crash if you go too low!

Here is a thread from 10 years ago that attempted to show the relationship between ORP/pH. I got a lot of hate from that one

Thanks for your post. Once I got down to 375 we shut the system off for a day. The fish did flash yesterday and my filter expert kinda anticipated that. I need to measure the kh as I know you are right. So far though this is amazing and I'm not using it like a conventional ro and cant share anything yet. Fish activity has increased and the fish are not flashing. We stripped alot fast and my pond had the highest TDs out of all the ponds that this has been used. Have cleared ponds with lots of algae and without a uv crutch

Gave Some to friends to see how they turned out in our different ponds. Many failed and I sold them on craigslist. I dont sell koi but just my rejects. I had people begging my for my goshiki and tancho. Those are my favs though so I kept them. I made a huge mistake a year or so ago and lost my 23 inch yamabuki from genki. 16 inch ochiba from pskoi. Gin rin chagoi from genki, goromo from genki. And like 4 others. I left the hose on overnight. It still bothers me to this day.

From a1 koi and genki koi. U can get tosai still but I like to keep them heated since they are little weaker then larger koi.
