      Wink Sudden leaf damage overnight

      Today I noticed that some of the leaves on my water lily look damaged, almost burned:

      They were looking ok yesterday, so apparently something happened to it overnight:

      There was also some strange transparent mineral-like crust floating on the water surface which I suspect that might have some connection to the problem:

      Yep, the first hard freeze of the season here in north central Kansas: It got down to 23f (-5c) last night along with several inches of snow that has already melted. I don't want pull the tubers until they actually go dormant, so I have that icy process to look forward to.

      u guys who have koi ponds where it freezes over are hardcore that sounds like way to much work !
