      Mass on side of tail

      I noticed a red mass on the side of one of my koi tail. She eats well and seems perfectly fine. Any ideas in what if may be. Sorry for the bad pics she wouldn't cooperate lol

      Looks like lymphocystitis or one of the viral look alikes. My guess is that it will disappear w/ time. Make sure water conditions are good - water changes, etc.

      It looks like a tumor and, if it grows larger and is vasilated, you will have your answer.
